Dear Members,
WELCOME BACK!
The 2026/27 handball season is here!
We hope everyone has had a great summer and is ready for another exciting season with Trafford Handball Club. Training officially gets underway from Tuesday 1st September, and we’re really looking forward to seeing everyone back on court.
Our training schedule stays the same as last season📅:
U14s - Mondays & Tuesdays 6:00–7:00pm
Senior Women - Mondays 7:00–9:00pm
Senior Men - Tuesdays 7:00–9:00pm
U16s & U19s – Boys & Girls - Wednesdays 6:00–7:30pm
There will be lots of club updates coming over the next couple of weeks, but for now, there are two important things we need everyone to get sorted:
1️⃣ Order your club kit
Please make sure you get your kit order completed as soon as possible, particularly our senior players with the start of the competitive season approaching.
2️⃣ Complete your England Handball (EHA) player registration
All players must complete their registration with England Handball in order to participate in their respective leagues and competitions.
👉 England Handball Membership & Registration
The deadline from the Club for registrations is 25th September.
It is really important that everyone gets this completed on time so that players are eligible to compete. This is particularly important for our senior teams, whose first competitive fixtures begin on 3rd October.
We’re incredibly excited to announce that our first Home Game Day of the 2026/27 season will take place on Saturday 3rd October!
For the first time this season, our Senior Men and Senior Women will both be playing at home on the same day, at the same venue.
Trafford Men 🆚 Manchester HC
Trafford Women 🆚 Nottingham HC 2s
Venue: George Carnall Community Hub, M41 7FJ
Both games will take place between 2:00pm and 6:00pm, giving us a fantastic afternoon of handball.
We want this to be more than just two games. We want it to be a day to celebrate Trafford Handball Club. Bringing our players, coaches, parents, families and wider club community together to support our senior teams and enjoy some quality handball.
U14s, U16s and U19s are strongly encouraged to come down, watch, support and get behind our senior teams.
Parents, families and friends: we would absolutely love your support too. Help us create an atmosphere and put on a show that makes our first home game day something special for everyone involved.
If you’d like to get involved with organising the day, helping with the running of the event, supporting on the day or contributing in any way, please feel free to drop us a message via WhatsApp or email (info@handballfoundation.co.uk). There will be plenty of opportunities for people to get involved.
The next couple of weeks will be busy, with lots more information being released around the new season.
Keep your eyes peeled and make sure you stay up to date with everything coming from the club.
Coming very soon:
A new season brings new growth, new improvements and new opportunities, but most importantly more opportunities for us to come together as a local community.
For now, get your kit ordered, get your England Handball registration completed, and get yourselves back on court!
We can’t wait to see everyone over the coming weeks and to get started with what promises to be another exciting season.
Thank you for your continued support.
